  • Blueberry-lemon is a favored flavor combination.

  • Fried chicken is being embraced as a breakfast food, particularly in Southeast Asia.

While Chick-fil-A enthusiasts may have long considered fried chicken a breakfast staple, the trend is now catching on globally.  The report found that:

  • 16% of restaurant patrons worldwide opt for fried chicken for breakfast.

  • This number surges to 28% in Southeast Asia, with Indonesia leading the way.

  • In Indonesia, nearly half of all consumers occasionally enjoy fried chicken for breakfast.

  • The UAE and South Africa also have a significant number of fried chicken breakfast consumers.

These findings suggest that fried chicken's popularity is expanding beyond its traditional lunch and dinner slots, making it a versatile meal option throughout the day.
